Position Description
The Business Analyst – Oracle Projects will support strategies which ensure the integrity of decisions made concerning Oracle ERP applications. This includes working as part of a functional team to implement several domestic and international company sites on Oracle ERP. Highly qualified candidates will have extensive experience in developing business processes using industry best practices in the functional area of Oracle Projects (Projects Billing, Projects Management, Projects Costing, Projects Resource Management).
The Business Analyst will:
Work with other implementation team members to develop best practice methods and configure the Oracle ERP system to support the decisions.
Troubleshoot questions and problems from the user community with Oracle Application issues.
Assist with the installation of future revisions and enhancements to existing test and production systems following the Oracle setup documents.
Work with 3rd party consultants on assignments as necessary.
Limited travel to local and foreign company facilities on an as needed basis (estimate up to 1/3 travel required during select phases of international implementations).
Open and track Oracle TAR*s (Technical Assistance Requests) when application problems cannot be resolved.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, work instructions, functional specifications, and training plans.
Write functional specification for RICE (reports, interfaces, conversions and extensions)
Working with other company IS and Corporate IT personnel to support associated applications as needed.
Communicate business needs relative to gaps in Oracle functionality to Oracle Technical Lead.
Train users on processes relevant to using Oracle applications.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong Leadership and Organizational skills
- Oracle EBS set-up and configuration experience throughout the entire Oracle Projects lifecycle
- Previous Oracle Projects and industry experience required in a manufacturing industry.
- Familiar with Oracle Projects-Project Billing, Project Management, Project Costing and Resource Management
- Experience working in a multi language/multi country, multi-org environment desirable
- Experience with large equipment shipping and transportation on an international level is desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with ERP Systems Delivery Methodologies highly desired
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to train and provide support to Oracle application system users
- Ability to learn to perform system troubleshooting of Oracle ERP applications
- Ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with business units and other associates
- Strong Team Player a Must
- Industry experience in discrete manufacturing environments is required
