Position Description:
Global Houston manufacturing firm is looking for a Master Data Manager to manage a large data conversion project as well as spearhead the development of an Engineering Standards Board. An Engineering background is required to understand the manufacturing process as well as the Engineering language and specifics. This is an excellent opportunity for a savvy Engineering manager to not only become a part of a very successful and profitable manufacturing operation but to enter the Information Technology field as well. A desire to move into the IT arena is desired as this role will be a liaison between the IT group, the Engineering team and upper management. This will be a highly visible and critical role in this organization.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineer needed with experience managing an Engineering department in an discrete manufacturing environment. (Engineer to Order a huge bonus)
- This individual will need to understand the operational and fabrication processes and be very familiar with Engineering practices and standards.
- In depth knowledge of both Engineering as well as operational expertise is required.
- Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
- MBA or Masters in Engineering is highly desired.
