Position Description
The .NET Developer reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, and debugging programs. The candidate needs to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.
- Analyzes, programs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs.
- Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.
- Develops and installs programs to support general business applications running on PCs.
- Designs web pages; develops infrastructure and applications related to pages.
- Review Business Requirements documents and assist in documenting System Requirements.
- Develop Design documentation.
- Completion of Complex Development Tasks.
- Completion of unit testing of code.
- Support ongoing system maintenance.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- MIS, BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 1-4 years experience with development/scripting languages such as VB.NET, Visual Studio.NET, HTML, DHTML, ASP, JavaScript
- 1-4 years experience with Microsoft SharePoint development
- 1-3 years experience coding to relational databases, such as Oracle or SQL Server
- 1-2 years experience with Silverlight, XAML
